Did you know Tecnu Original could clean all that?

Since the introduction of Tecnu Original Outdoor Skin Cleanser we have always promoted its unique ability to unlock the bond of urushiol (the cause of poison ivy and oak rash) from your skin.  However, as a cleanser it can also do more:Uses for Tecnu Original Outdoor Skin Cleanser

  • Removes ink from clothing - It is always good to test for color fastness when you use Tecnu on your clothes, but if you have ruined it with ink it may not matter. Rub Tecnu into an ink stain, allow it to to set for a few minutes, and then wash as normal.
  • Removes mud from clothing - Sometimes stain removers can't get that mud out of your white t-shirt. Try scrubbing Tecnu into the stain for a few minutes and then wash as normal.
  • Removes oil-based paint from skin - When using oil based paint on a home improvement project, it can sometimes come in contact with your skin. This can be difficult to remove with regular soap. Rub Tecnu on your skin for two minutes and then wash the area.
  • Removes irritants after gardening - Some people are sensitive to plants and bark dust. For example, the leaves on strawberry bushes or bark dust made from Douglas fir. Washing with Tecnu after gardening can help remove these irritants from your skin.
  • Removes sticker goo - Have you purchased a mirror or picture frame and the sticker won't come off the glass? Rub Tecnu on the sticker glue for two minutes and then wipe off with a cloth. You can follow up with some glass cleaner if needed.
  • Cleans vinyl surfaces - We learned this trick at a tradeshow where we had a display with vinyl panels. Rub Tecnu over a dirty spot on a vinyl surface for a few seconds. Wipe off with a cloth.
  • Removes skunk oil from pet's fur - Forget tomato juice. If your dog or cat gets sprayed by a skunk, pour Tecnu on a cloth and wipe their fur down for a few minutes. Follow up with a pet bath.

Have you used Tecnu Original to clean up something other than poison ivy and oak oil? Feel free to share…
