Years ago when I was first introduced to your product, I was told I could use the lotion before I even went into the woods and it would act as a preventative if I came into contact with any poison ivy. I don't see that noted on the products on your website. Did I miss it? Is that product still available?

Thank you for your question. We actually do get this one often. Years ago we had a product called Tecnu Armor that was a barrier lotion you could put on before going out in the woods.  We discontinued the product years ago as the market didn't support it. Most people do not think to put on a barrier before going out.  Tecnu Original and Tecnu Extreme are both cleansers you would use after to remove the rash-causing urushiol from the surface of your skin.

There is a barrier in the market called Ivy Block but it does not have much distribution. You may find it online. Remember that with a barrier, you still need to use a good cleanser like Tecnu to remove the urushiol as it will still sit on top of the barrier lotion. You will also want to be careful not to touch any parts of your body that may not be covered with the barrier (like your face.)
